I didn’t realize they were plastic until they came in mail. They’re durable but wouldn’t want to put anything hot In it

They’re built to be sturdy and ideal for outdoor use. Also, you can safely put hot foods on melamine — just avoid microwaving them or dishwasher use.

If you’re like me and didn’t realize that melamine is *not* part of the name but is in fact the material you’ll be surprised that it’s plastic. It’s durable. But to avoid toxins you’ll def not want to put anything hot in it. It’s a beautiful bowl set for sure. Great for outdoor patio set.
