How The Trade Program Works

Each level status is determined by how much is spent each calendar year at McGee & Co. (after promotional offers, and shipping charges are applied) when you enter your discount code at checkout that is registered to your Trade account. Please note there is 30-day delay in the spend calculation that places you in your tier status.

We provide To The Trade discounts to interior designers, architects, set designers or stagers, home developers and professionals in the hospitality and food and beverage industries. Below is a breakdown of the membership levels.

You can apply online here ( Membership is contingent upon receipt of appropriate credentials listed below, and a completed application. Once we have processed your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing a discount code that can be applied right away to any purchase.

Appropriate Application Credentials:

  • Valid membership to a major design organization (e.g. ASID, IIDA, AIA, NKBA, IDC)
  • Business or Resale License—Signed resale certificates are required for each state where you seek tax exemption (U.S. only)
  • Business card with your design profession
  • Interior Design Certification (e.g. NCIDQ, CCIDC)

You can place an order by creating and/or logging into your account at McGee & Co. and applying your discount code at checkout. Orders and quote requests can also be made via email at Please allow up to 24 hours for a response or feedback.

There is no minimum quantity or dollar amount necessary to place an order.

We have all of our shipping information located here ( on our site. Expedited Shipping is available for decor pieces at an additional cost upon request. For furniture, lighting and artwork pieces, please call or email us to confirm. White Glove Delivery is included at checkout for our larger furniture pieces under our handling fee.

SM Fabric samples are available at our shop here ( Rug swatches are available for a fee; a refund will be issued if swatches are returned within 30 days. For level 1 and 2 members, please contact a To The Trade representative for additional information.

Within 30 days of receiving your order, we are happy to issue a refund for any product with which you're not fully satisfied. After 30 days, we'll replace or refund your purchase against manufacturer's defects only. Returns are not allowed on any special-order items, custom-upholstered furniture or on items damaged through normal wear and tear.
