This lamp is class personified. Understated and elegant. Beautiful heavy brass - and I was so impressed that it came with a pair of white gloves to assemble and handle it without leaving prints. Much appreciated! I did not have any problems with mine being crooked as another reviewer mentioned, and I placed it on a carpeted floor.

The lamp is beautiful quality but heavy for the small base that supports its weight at the bottom. As a result, if you are not super careful in how you place the lamp it stands up crooked. I am not sure if this happens to just the lamp I received or all lamps. In most angles, I place the lamp at it slumps to the side.
